Celebrities Tournaments
The numbers of contests in which regular poker players get famous are plentiful: WSOP, World Poker Tour or the recent Hollywood Hold'em and many others, some are merely virtual competitions in online casinos on the web. In these competitions even 'real' celebrities are a common situation nowadays.
For example, Ben Affleck, a talented performer who played in successful films such as "Dogma", "Good Will Hunting", "Changing Lanes" and others. Ben's also a poker player and he's good at poker as he's in his acting. Ben earned $356,400 at the Commerce Casino's California State Poker Championship after defeating journeyman pro Stan Goldstein in the final stages if the competition. Afterwards Affleck thanked his good luck and complimented his opponent, Goldstein, who won $204,930.
At the same competition also played the famous actor Tobey Maguire . Maguire went out of the contest at early stage on the first out of the three-day competition. Other celebrities as well are known for their poker playing habits. All in all, the stars of the poker world are authentic "crowd" people just like you and me, people who like to chat and gamble in online poker rooms, and every year another star shines in the sky of poker.
